Forever 21 Shop Opening

This was similar to the opening for H&M just with less fanfare. The Shops at Perry Crossing wanted to show potential shop owners as well as the mall board the long line to get in to the store for the grand opening.

H&M Opening at The Shops at Perry Crossing

I was commissioned by The Shops at Perry Crossing to take pictures of the store opening of H&M. They arranged for a flash mob, a DJ and give aways to help draw people in.

The pictures will be used to draw new shop owners to the outdoor mall so they wanted me to show lots of people and how long the line was for the opening. They also use them to show the board on how the mall is drawing in people to the mall.

Morgan Stanley

A local Morgan Stanley office contacted me for some updated headshots and a group photo. Everyone was a little apprehensive about getting their portrait taken but I was able to work with them individually and we ended up with something they were very happy with. They were able to see the images on my laptop as I took them so they could see which ones they liked, which pose, which side was their favorite so we could refine and come up with something they were happy to represent them on social media and on their web site.

The Shops at Perry Crossing

I will often get requests from the Hendricks county visitors bureau to take pictures of different attractions in the county. This was an offshoot of one of those shoots. The Shops at Perry Crossing rebranded and needed updated pictures of their new town center, gathering places, walkways and the JC Penny pond fountain as well as an overall feel of the outdoor mall. I was working with a shot list provided by the mall and had a lot of flexibility in how and when I took them. I took morning pictures from 10-12 and the evening pictures from 8-10 so I could get both day and twilight shots to give them the greatest variety of images. With a project like this I needed to be sure I got a variety of angles and compositions, overall feel of the mall as well as details of specific areas.
